  • About Me:
Although I don't want this to sound like a resume I couldn't describe myself without talking about teaching. I've worked with some trouble young lads in residential programs, and while I don't like having things thrown at me or being cursed at, I am glad I have been able to be a positive role model for some needy kids. After I graduated with my masters I traveled quite a bit and lived in South America and Africa where I taught elementary grades. I learned a lot about myself and how far I can push through illness, discomfort, and cultural isolation. Now I teach 5th and 6th grade in New Hampshire and really love my job, school, and living on the seacoast. My family is so important to me so I also like living close to my Ma.
  • My Interests:
When I'm not grading papers I love to be outside doing anything active. I'm trying to get as much surfing time in while the water is relatively warm, but then I'll switch to snowboarding when the fall is finished. I also play pick-up ice hockey and have been trying to join a dodge-ball league. In my down time, I like to read good fiction like Game of Thrones or anything by Cormac McCarrthy. I also love non-fiction like A Peoples History. While I feel guilty the older I get, I still love video games, and while all these things might tell you a little more about me, I don't expect any girl to have to enjoy my hobbies just the same.
